Another month in the books! This year is flying by! The weather is starting to change, and we are hoping to get more time on our playground, and outside in general. Please make sure your child is dressed for the changing Colorado weather!

Math: Review of numbers, counting 1:1, sorting, addition
Science: Things that smell bad/good, sensory play, our 5 senses
Literacy: X,Y,Z activities
Fine Motor: Using scissors and tweezers, name writing

February 13-17

It's Valentine's Week!! This week we have lots of fun activities planned.

First things first.....
Our Valentine's Party is Tuesday, February 14 from 10:15-11. We have a craft, and yummy food to eat, and a game for the students to play. Please remember the following:

A Decorated box to put Valentines in
A picture of someone you love to decorate
and if you want....24 Valentines for all of your friends!

Also, Tuesday is Pajama Day! What fun it will be to hang out in our pajamas all day!

We will be continuing our assessments this week. I am hoping to have them all finished by the end of the month.

Finally, a reminder that there is NO SCHOOL on Monday, February 20th for President's Day.

February 6-10

February is here! And with the change in the month comes some new exciting activities for us in preschool!!! Here is what this week looks like:

Dramatic Play: Doctor's Office and Xrays
Math: #14, counting and 1:1 correspondence
Science: Making Recipes
Literacy: X activities
Fine Motor: Using scissors and tweezers, name writing, and X writing

This week we will also begin doing our mid-year assessments. We will be doing a slightly different assessment this time, looking at social skills, fine motor skills, math and literacy. We will also look to see what letters/numbers all the students know! I am excited to see what all they have been learning!

Please make sure your child has warm clothes this week, and boots if you can. Our playground may have some snow on it, but we would love to be able to get them outside to play!!
