April 30-May 4

Can you believe it is May?? This school year is flying by! Our official "end of school year" day is June 1st, with the rest of the school, and our summer session will start on June 4th. Preschool is open all summer, with the exception of a couple of days (July 4th being one). We look forward to having fun with everyone this summer! TPAAK's annual silent auction will be taking place in May. Each classroom puts together a basket that is auctioned off throughout the month, ending on May 31st with our Art in the Parking Lot Celebration. Our classrooms' theme is books! So, anything to do with reading/books. Books, book lights, gift cards, book marks, etc. would be perfect. If you can bring anything in, please just give it to your teacher or to Mrs. S for our basket. Water Days are Coming!

As the weather continues to get warmer, we are anticipating some fun water days.  We have a water table, some water balls and toys, and some spray bottles for our preschoolers to play with.

Usually, the children do not get wet enough to need a change of clothing, but now would be a great time to update your child’s cubby, to make sure the clothes are weather-appropriate and the right size!  Each child should have a full change of clothes, including underwear and socks.  It’s not a bad idea to leave a hat and/or sunglasses.

Also, please remember to apply sunscreen each day before dropping your child off.  If you forget, we have a bottle here in the classroom that you may apply to your child.

Finally, don’t forget a water bottle!  We remind the children to drink lots of water to stay hydrated.  Thanks!

As our weather changes hourly right now in Colorado, please send your child to school prepared. Light jacket, hat, sunscreen, or anything else that will help them to feel more comfortable outside. Also, please remember to have good shoes on your child. Shoes that come off easily, or have open toes or heels, tend to cause more falls on our playground.

April 2-6

April is here!!! And the weather has been wonderful! The students are really enjoying all of our outdoor time. Please remember to apply sunscreen in the morning before your child comes to school. Also, since our students run so much outside, we would like to request that they wear close-toed, closed-heel shoes. This prevents a lot of our playground injuries!
